Day 1: Arrive Prague

From Prague to Budapest, travel back through centuries as you walk along cobblestoned streets through grand cities and historic towns decorated with twinkling Christmas trees and lined with wooden huts gleaming with handcrafted treasures. Iconic Christmas markets are plentiful and are on full display.
Day 1: Arrive Prague
Arrive in Prague and check in to your hotel.
Day 2: Prague
Discover Prague and its magical church spires on a city tour or a hike to Prague Castle. Later in the day, you will have free time to explore Prague’s renowned Christmas markets in the Old Town Square.
Day 3: Prague
Enjoy a Czech beer tasting before having the rest of the day at leisure to further explore.
Day 4: Depart Prague, Embark Ship, Nuremberg
This morning travel by coach from Prague to Nuremberg. Enjoy some time exploring one of Nuremberg’s colourful Christmas Markets before boarding your luxury ship.
Day 5: Nuremberg
Embark on a city tour of Nuremberg. Later, you can visit Nuremberg’s Christkindlesmarkt, one of the world’s largest and most famous Christmas markets. Alternatively, enjoy a tasting of Franconian specialties.
Day 6: Regensburg
Arrive in Regensburg and enjoy a walking tour that includes the Old Town Christmas market. Alternatively, sample local delights during a Bavarian culinary tour or join a guided bike ride to the base of Walhalla. Later in the day, you’ll be treated to one of Bavaria’s most beautiful and romantic Christmas markets at Thurn and Taxis, where you can watch artisans make their unique arts and crafts.
Day 7: Passau
Cruise to the city of Passau, where you may choose to enjoy a walking tour around the historic city and a visit to its Christmas markets, enjoy a guided bike ride along the Danube, or embark on an excursion to Salzburg to visit its Christmas markets and Hellbrunn Palace.
Day 8: Melk
Take a tour of Melk Abbey or enjoy a guided bike tour through the Wachau Valley. After arriving in Vienna, you will have the chance to explore the local Town Hall Christmas Markets.
Day 9: Vienna
The ‘City of Waltzes’ offers a treasure trove of gems just waiting to be discovered on your city tour. See the majestic Opera House and the former Imperial Palace of the Habsburgs before concluding in Vienna’s historic city centre. Alternatively, enjoy a guided bike along the Danube River. During the afternoon, visit the Schonbrunn Palace with its giant sparkling Christmas tree.
Day 10: Budapest
Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Budapest or alternatively, hike up to Castle Hill for breathtaking views of the city. Later enjoy time at leisure to perhaps visit the Christmas markets.
Day 11: Disembark Ship, Depart Budapest
Be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
