Step into the past at the Durack Homestead Museum, carefully relocated before the Ord River Irrigation Scheme reshaped the land and gave rise to Lake Argyle. Out on the water, take in the sheer scale of this vast freshwater reservoir on a scenic cruise, with birdlife overhead and endless horizons in every direction. Then return to Kununurra, a laid-back town with a character all its own, a quiet base for exploring the remarkable Kimberley region.

This morning invites adventure, with the option to explore Purnululu National Park (own expense). Take to the air or journey by 4WD to witness the remarkable Bungle Bungle Range, their banded domes rising from the earth in a pattern shaped over millions of years.
