Day 1: Athens – Olympia (D)

This morning you will be collected from your hotel (or nearest point) for a two-day tour to some of Greece’s wonderful classical sights.

Depart Athens and travel west along the scenic coast to the impressive Corinth Canal for a short stop and photos. Continue along the Saronic Gulf to Epidaurus Theatre, renowned for its remarkable acoustics and well-preserved structure. Pause in Nauplion, Greece’s first capital, before visiting Mycenae, the legendary kingdom of Agamemnon and a key centre of the Mycenaean civilisation. Continue onward to Olympia for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Olympia – Delphi (BD)

Olympia, the most celebrated sanctuary of ancient Greece, was dedicated to Zeus and set in a lush valley at the foot of Mount Kronios, where the Alpheios and Kladeos rivers meet. Though secluded in the Peloponnese, it became the country’s most important religious and athletic centre, famed for hosting the Olympic Games every four years. Visit the archaeological site and museum before continuing the journey via Patras and crossing the impressive Rio–Antirion Bridge to Antirion. Drive through Nafpaktos and continue to Delphi for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Delphi – Athens (B)

After breakfast is a tour of Delphi. Set at the foot of Mount Parnassos, within the dramatic Phaedriades Rocks, Delphi was the most important oracle site in ancient Greece and believed to be the centre of the world. For centuries, Delphi served as a major religious and cultural hub for the Hellenic world and hosted the renowned Pythian Games, second only to the Olympics. Explore the archaeological site and museum, home to exceptional artefacts including the famous Charioteer of Delphi. After the visit, there is approximately two hours at leisure before beginning the scenic drive back to Athens, arriving at approx. 7:00pm.
Note: Accommodation in Athens is not included tonight.
