Hello & welcome to Indonesia! We’ve got 13 days of sea, sun, snorkelling & stunning views lined up ahead of us. And we’re kicking off in the turquoise-tinted town of Seminyak - famous for its buzzing vibe & stunning beaches. So, exchange hellos with your brand new crew and come join us for welcome drinks & a gorgeous sunset by the beach at Potato Head Beach Club (one of Bali's most popular & planet-friendly beach clubs!).
Brekkie, beaches and breezy new views are on the agenda this afternoon. You’ve even got some time to check out a few of the cute cafes in town before we make our way to Ubud - Bali’s unofficial cultural capital. Ubud’s all yours to explore this evening. But if you wanna meet the locals & take a cooking class in the famous rice fields of Ubud, come join us for a ride to a nearby village.
Mhm, that’s right. You’ve got an entire day in the cultural paradise of Ubud! Check out the artsy markets, roam around the fields & forests or even visit an ancient temple or two - you do you. And if you wanna zhuzh up your day, you’ve got the option to take a sunrise hike up Mt Batur (think lots of stargazing and unforgettable views up the volcano). Or for a bit more adventure, even go rafting in the river.
Wakey wakey, there’s another piece of paradise just waiting to be explored. Grab breakfast, and jump on a fast boat as we make our way to Gili Trawangan. Yep, we’re going to the Gili Islands! You might’ve seen sandy beaches fringed with palm trees, but ain’t nothing compares to the buzzing yet peaceful vibe of Gili T. You’ve got the evening to take in the chilled out 'beanbag, drink-in-hand' vibes and prepare for a full day of adventure that awaits us tomorrow.
It’s not everyday you get to spend an entire day relaxing, swimming and snorkelling in crystal clear waters (with corals, fish and maybe even sea turtles). But today’s the day, baby! We’ll set off on a boat and explore the rest of the two Gili Islands (AKA Gili Air & Gili Meno) and even enjoy a delicious lunch with pristine beachfront views. Then, it’s back to our homebase, Gili T.
It’s a free day in paradise. So, check out the beach clubs with your crew, chill on the white-sand shore. Or even better, choose to spend the whole day diving into the sea (with experts, ofc) for some more underwater exploration!
Sorry folks, time to say goodbye to the gorgeous Gilis. But don’t shed tears just yet cuz there are plenty more sandy beaches we’re about to tick off. So, hop on for a fast boat ride to our last stop in Bali - Sanur. These aren’t ordinary shores, people. They are nothing short of legendary. And guess what? Our hotel is pretty epic too - decked with a rooftop bar, infinity pool, eclectic designs and just a 3-min walk from the beach. You know what to do.
It’s nice to have a free day in the beautiful Sanur. But what’s even nicer is the sunrise views are jaw-dropping from here. And what’s nicest? You have the option to take a full day of snorkelling adventure where you get to hop from one blue bay to another and - wait for it - maybe even swim with Manta Rays (!!!).
Bye bye, Bali. You’ve been nothing but breathtaking. But we’ve got a flight to catch to another island. Touchdown, the Island of Flores! This untouched island is famous for being the gateway to the Komodo National Park. You'll be greeted by stunning seaside views as we check into our hotel for the night. Looking for things to do? How about some volleyball with your crew & sunset drinks by the pool? Livin' the life...
Buckle up, island hoppers. Our boat expedition has officially begun! So, hop on to our cosy, cosy houseboat as we float across the waters to the underexplored gem of Komodo National Park (also the only place where you can see the closest animal to dinosaurs IRL). First, we’ll hit up the hill on Kelor Island for some epic panoramic views of Flores & its surrounding scenery (perfect for your photo ops!). After lunch onboard, we’ll stop by the underexplored Manjarite Island for snorkelling in the pristine blue water. Next on the list? A once-in-a-lifetime golden sunset at Kalong Island - that’s also home to thousands of bats! (Cue Batman theme song.) Finally, we’ll get back onboard our houseboat for dinner and a night at sea, surrounded by tranquil (and star-studded!) scenery.
Look at you, rising & shining even before the sun. It’s time for an early morning trek in the dark (the view is so worth it, we promise!). We’ll hike up one the tallest hills on this rugged island just before dawn. Get ready for one of the BEST views of your life - sparkling blue water, dotted with lush islands and rolling hills. And if the weather gods are on our side, you’ll even get to capture a show-stopping sunrise over the Flores hills. In-cre-di-ble. Then, it’s back on the boat for breakfast and a short ride to the next island. Aaaand we’ve finally made it to Komodo Island (the biggest & baddest island in Komodo National Park!). We’ll kick off with a trek led by a local park ranger who’ll give us the full rundown on the island’s superstars - Komodo dragons - and all the other wildlife here. Then, you have the chance to go snorkelling in the clear blue waters by the Pink Beach (no, your eyes aren’t tricking you). And then, finally, you’ll even get to swim with manta rays at Manta Point. Sheeesh, what a day!Okay people, time to rest those travel-tired muscles. Not before a delicious dinner though!
You know it’s gonna be a good morning when you wake up to views of a literal desert oasis in the middle of the ocean! Welcome to Taka Makassar. This tiny island looks like a beautiful beige brushstroke on the water, and guess what? It's also the perfect place for some more snorkelling. After lunch, we’ll visit Kanawa Island for some well-deserved R&R by the beach before our boat expedition comes to an end (sob). Back on land, you’ve got one last eve to spend admiring the idyllic island views with your crew, so make the most of it!
All good things come to an end - just like this trip. Saying goodbye to Indonesia won't be easy, but these memories of beautiful beaches, adventures and incredible views will stay in our hearts and memories forever.
