Today, we spend the day aboard the train as we head towards Nelspruit.
The train travels through the eastern route, passing through the rugged eMalahleni coal-mining region and Middelburg, known as the "stainless steel hub of Africa." The eastern route was constructed by the Dutch railway company, NZASM, connecting Pretoria to Lourenço Marques (now Maputo) from 1893 to 1895.
Enjoy ample time to mingle with fellow travellers and share stories, before dinner is served in the dining cars as you head towards Malelane.

Visit the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, where you'll learn about conservation efforts, breeding programmes, and initiatives to combat poaching. Get up-close with rare and endangered species, and gain a deeper understanding of the importance of wildlife preservation.
Situated in Limpopo, Kapama Game Reserve is home to over 40 mammal species, including the Big Five, 350 bird species, and a wealth of smaller species.
